How to Create a WhatsApp Broadcast List from Excel

In today’s digital age, communication has become easier and more efficient. One popular tool for instant messaging is WhatsApp, which allows you to send messages, make calls, and share media with individuals or groups. If you have a large number of contacts that you frequently communicate with, creating a WhatsApp Broadcast List can save you time and effort. In this blog post, we will guide you on how to create a WhatsApp Broadcast List from an Excel file.

Step 1: Prepare your Excel file

The first step is to prepare your Excel file containing the contacts you want to add to the WhatsApp Broadcast List. Ensure that your Excel file has a column labeled “Phone Number” or “Mobile Number” where you have entered the phone numbers of your contacts. Make sure the numbers are in the correct format, including the country code.

Step 2: Convert Excel to CSV format

To import the contacts from your Excel file into WhatsApp, you need to convert it to CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open your Excel file.
  2. Click on “File” in the top menu and select “Save As”.
  3. Choose the location where you want to save the file.
  4. From the “Save as type” dropdown menu, select “CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)”.
  5. Click on “Save” to convert the file to CSV format.

Step 3: Import contacts into WhatsApp

Now that you have your Excel file converted to CSV format, you can import the contacts into WhatsApp and create your Broadcast List. Follow these steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner and select “Settings”.
  3. In the Settings menu, tap on “Contacts”.
  4. Tap on “Import contacts”.
  5. Choose the CSV file you saved in Step 2.
  6. WhatsApp will now import the contacts from the CSV file.

Step 4: Create a WhatsApp Broadcast List

With the contacts imported into WhatsApp, you can now create your Broadcast List. Here’s how:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner and select “New broadcast”.
  3. Start typing the name of the first contact you want to add to the Broadcast List.
  4. Select the contact from the suggestions that appear.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add more contacts to the Broadcast List.
  6. Once you have added all the desired contacts, tap on the checkmark icon to create the Broadcast List.

That’s it! You have successfully created a WhatsApp Broadcast List from an Excel file. Now you can send messages, images, or videos to multiple contacts at once without the need to select each contact individually.

Creating a WhatsApp Broadcast List can be a time-saving feature, especially if you frequently send messages to a large group of contacts. By following the steps outlined in this blog post, you can easily import your contacts from an Excel file and create your Broadcast List in WhatsApp.

Remember to respect the privacy of your contacts and ensure that you have their consent before adding them to any broadcast lists.
